We are a self-funded non-profit organisation which provides a wide range of intellectually stimulating activities for retired and semi-retired people.
Members can attend courses, talks and events throughout the year.
U3A Short CourseFacing Climate Breakdown Together
This series of four workshops will be occasions to share how we each live with hope at this time of climate breakdown. Open to all members of Port Sorell U3A who are aware of the present planetary emergency we are living in and have found ways of living positively within this scenario. We can each share our stories and what gives us meaning at this time. Tom will begin with an overview of the ideas and share some of his ways of coping.

Who we are
Our goal is to bring together people who may be retired from full-time work but not from living their life to the fullest.
Indeed, U3A members seek out opportunities to make new friends, engage in new lifestyle activities and to learn new things.
What we do
We offer over 30 courses per year covering a wide spectrum including arts and craft, humanities, music, health, literature, history, social sciences, leisure, computing, fitness and we offer these classes in an environment of fun and friendship.
Classes range from one off sessions to weekly activities so there is bound to be something that suits your interest and schedule.
There are no prerequisites, no exams and no qualifications awarded.
