The amazing events keep on coming - this one limited to just 35 people.
Yes! We have organised our very own private tour conducted by Lyndal Thorne, The President of the Burnie Arts Council and the coordinator of this amazing event.She’ll take us behind the scenes and explain all about the most incredible biennial show, the artists and of course the designs on display.
If you took part in the PAPER PLAY Course that Stephanie Reynolds conducted for U3A then you will know all about this event but if you didn’t, here is your chance to see what textiles can be created with paper.
To make it just a little bit more fun we have organised a bus to take us there and back, the tour and a lunch afterwards to discuss what we saw.
Strictly limited to just 35 people - we think this is a must attend event. The event is open for U3A members and non members.

10:30am - Private Tour of the Exhibition - Devonport Regional Gallery
12pm Lunch - Mr Good Guy Novotel Devonport -
2.00pmish - Bus pickup from hotel to return to Banksia Centre
The cost is for the bus hire $15 for U3A members and $25 for non U3A Members - Plus lunch.

CARD MAKING with Gail Woodgate
Card making and creating 3d items from card stock can be fun and there’s nothing more special than giving someone something you created from scratch. Whilst Gail is still fairly new to card making, she has been doing 3d papercraft for a couple of years and wants to share her enjoyment of creating items from cardstock. She enjoys using her Brother Scan N cut but also uses a die cutter, paper cutter and scorer as well as stamps, inks and a wide array of embellishments.
More classes will be added if there is further interest. Cost: $5 per class for cost of cardstock etc.

Who we are
Our goal is to bring together people who may be retired from full-time work but not from living their life to the fullest.
Indeed, U3A members seek out opportunities to make new friends, engage in new lifestyle activities and to learn new things.
What we do
We offer over 30 courses per year covering a wide spectrum including arts and craft, humanities, music, health, literature, history, social sciences, leisure, computing, fitness and we offer these classes in an environment of fun and friendship.
Classes range from one off sessions to weekly activities so there is bound to be something that suits your interest and schedule.
There are no prerequisites, no exams and no qualifications awarded.
